PolyMet
Resources Inc. is a mineral and precious metal processing company
located at 1 Presley Street, Cobalt, Ontario. The company specializes in
bulk
sampling and assay analysis of recycled and
mined materials.
PolyMet also
upgrades and smelts materials and produces precious metal bullion. The unique
design of our facility provides PolyMet with the competitive advantage of
being able to provide bulk sampling, assaying, crushing, grinding,
processing, upgrading and smelting all in one location.
The property and four story concrete building were
extensively renovated and updated over the years by the Ministry of
Northern Development and Mines who previously owned and operated the
facility. The property is fully serviced with water, hydro and natural gas
and has its own loading docks that are connected to the major trucking
routes by Highway 11B to Highway #11. PolyMet has its own storage and
weighing facilities including a truck scale that is located adjacent to
the property and its own rail siding that connects to the main line of the
Northland Railway.
PolyMet is capable of sampling and processing a wide range
of materials from small volume lots to large tonnage lots produced by the
mining and recycling industries. The material can be crushed and ground
down to various mesh sizes (usually 40 mesh) and blended into one
homogenous lot that can be metallurgically tested and analyzed. The
flexible design of our facility and equipment accommodates the ability to
switch over production lots quicker, easier and more efficiently than most
other large scale operations.
Therefore,
PolyMet can meet the demands of
the market segment that is not economically serviced by other
refiners and smelters.
