The directors and principal shareholders of PolyMet Resources Inc. were all born and raised in the South Temiskaming area of Northern Ontario. We reside with our families in Northern Ontario and are extremely conscious of protecting the environment for the prosperity and future enjoyment of our children.
It is the intention of PolyMet to improve and clean-up any property that we own or
lease. It is our philosophy to only occupy locations that have been previously abandoned or not maintained and that require cosmetic and environmental clean-ups. We will rehabilitate and extensively renovate the buildings and properties to eliminate or minimize the previous environmental concerns left unattended by the previous owners.
PolyMet will contribute to the community by cleaning up and removing previous "eye sores" and creating much needed jobs in an area of high unemployment. We are also recognized as good corporate citizens that contribute to and sponsor community events and youth activities.
The requirements and recommendations outlined in the studies associated with our purchase of the former Temiskaming Testing Laboratory facility in Cobalt have been undertaken and exceeded. We will continue to upgrade the property and offer special tours and information sessions. We are participants in the local mural program and cooperate with the Cobalt Historical Society to preserve the special significance of Cobalt's role in the development of the mining industry.
